National Chartered Surveyor firm, Bruton Knowles has acquired long-established Herefordshire based John Amos & Co Ltd, as part of plans to extend its Rural Division’s capacity across the West and Midlands.
The team at John Amos & Co will continue to operate out of its Leominster office, under the same brand and under the leadership of founder, John Amos. They will work closely with Ben Compton, Head of Rural at Bruton Knowles, and his team.
The new acquisition is part of a wider company restructure and expansion programme at Bruton Knowles that will see several key service divisions restructured to provide extended and national team delivery operations rather than wholly location-based support.
James Bailey, Managing Partner at Bruton Knowles, explains: “We have acquired a strong rural surveying practice with an excellent reputation and established client base in The West Midlands and with significant scope to expand into new areas for the business. This move is another important step in Bruton Knowles’ strategic plan to further develop our Rural Team’s offer, which continues to thrive, despite extremely difficult operating conditions throughout this year. It will extend our skillset and our geographic reach, enabling us to further capitalise on opportunities in the sector.”
John Amos added: “This marks a significant moment in the firm’s 19-year history – an opportunity for both businesses, customers and team members to benefit. The fit between the two organisations is excellent. Ethos, culture and service values all align, and we are confident that combined strengths, capabilities and contacts will be the drivers for planned and substantial growth.”
This latest update from Bruton Knowles follows news that the firm has launched a new national Utilities and Infrastructure (U&I) division, to better showcase considerable expertise across the business, which can already list clients including National Grid, Network Rail, Thames Water, HS2, Scottish Power, NET, Electricity North West, Northern Gas and Metro Alliance.
