Expo Real, the annual international real estate trade fair and conference, that takes place in Munich, will this year highlight investment opportunities in a number of UK cities.
Speaking in advance of the three-day event in October, Stefan Rummel, CEO of Messe München, said Expo Real 2023 would feature a joint pavilion of UK Cities and partners including Opportunity London, Marketing Manchester, Newcastle, and West Midlands.
He also confirmed that Expo Real would feature a new element called ‘Expo Real Decarb—make the climate change work’ featuring start-ups, scale-ups and companies involved in the decarbonisation of property portfolio and climate-neutral districts and urban development. According to Stefan Rummel, the focus will be on “innovative and practical solutions to implement future projects in a climate-neutral manner or to climate-optimise existing buildings.”
“We deliberately created this platform to enable companies with interface topics to other industries, such as the construction and building materials sector, photovoltaic industry, mobility concept providers or companies focusing on ClimateTech, to be present at the fair. This offers the opportunity to discuss with industry experts and city representatives and find joint cooperation and solution approaches for upcoming challenges, but also to make companies and their ideas visible through pitches.
“We have been developing the theme and corresponding format for over a year now, and I am personally extremely pleased that we are making this special show a reality at Expo Real 2023,” he added.
The attendance at Expo Real is expected to be healthy again and follows a successful event in 2022, when the exhibition grew by almost 60 percent compared to 2021.
The 2023 event will take place in Munich between the 4th and 6th of October.
