The organisers of the annual MIPIM real estate conference have launched its 2025 Challengers initiative, offering young professionals in the built environment sector a unique opportunity to gain invaluable exposure and advance their careers on a global platform.
Open to those under the age of 31, this initiative will provide selected participants with access to the world’s premier property event, scheduled to take place in Cannes, France, next March.
The programme is aimed at individuals employed in the built environment who have not attended MIPIM in the last three years.
Candidates are required to submit essays in English, with submissions closing on 25 October 2024. The winners, to be announced in December, will receive a delegate pass and accommodation for the event.
The Challengers will also benefit from a series of preparatory webinars, running from January to March, each designed to equip them with insights, key information, and expert knowledge to maximise their impact at MIPIM. These sessions will focus on critical trends, networking strategies, and industry dynamics, ensuring participants are ready to present their ideas to top property executives.
This year’s initiative sees a significant boost in support from high-profile mentors. Adina David, the founder of Ladies in Real Estate, an influential global network for women in the industry, will serve as the patron for the 2025 cohort. In addition, UNESCO Ambassador Guila-Clara Kessous will lead a coaching session, further enhancing the professional development of the Challengers.
MIPIM, which attracted over 20,000 delegates from 90 countries in 2024, remains a crucial event in the real estate calendar. With over 70% of the world’s top 100 investment managers attending, representing over €4 trillion in assets, the conference provides unmatched opportunities for young professionals to connect with global leaders and shape the future of the built environment.
Applications are now open on the MIPIM website, with the submission deadline set for 25 October 2024.
