SHAFTESBURY APPOINTS HEAD OF SUSTAINABILITY

Shaftesbury PLC has appointed Matt Smith to the newly created role of Head of Sustainability.

Mr Smith joins following an extensive career across the construction, property development and asset management sectors. With over eight years spent in sustainability roles, most recently he was the Interim Head of Sustainability (Real Estate) at The Crown Estate. He is experienced in the development of net zero carbon strategies and the creation of places that have a positive impact on people’s health and wellbeing.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, his focus will be to ensure the business continues to develop and implement its long-term sustainability strategy and its already extensive community engagement.
