SHW has joined forces with The Gatwick Diamond, along with leading local and regional authorities, and other private sector affiliates, to showcase the region to over 10,000 investors, developers, occupiers and local authorities at UKREiiF 2024. Under the Invest in the Gatwick Diamond umbrella, this is the region’s first-ever delegation to attend The UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), which this year will be held in Leeds from 21-23 May 2024.
This landmark delegation will bring together a coalition of county councils, local authorities and private sector affiliates from across Sussex, Surrey, Kent, and South London, including Crawley, and Develop Croydon.
The mission is to bolster the growth of both emerging and established companies, cementing the Gatwick Diamond as a top-tier location for business, life, and global investment. The initiative collaborates closely with business leaders, educational institutions, local authorities, and government entities to meet the region’s multifaceted needs.
The Invest Gatwick Diamond group has secured exhibition space at UKREiiF, where they will engage with over 10,000 attendees – investors, developers, business occupiers and local government representatives – over three days.
Brett North, the Chairman and Chief Executive of the Gatwick Diamond Initiative, emphasised the significance of this participation: “Real estate and infrastructure play a critical role in regional development. That’s why we’re seizing this opportunity at UKREiiF to highlight our region’s unique selling points and its rich investment potential. We have so much to be proud of here in the Gatwick Diamond, and we are committed to meeting and partnering with like-minded organisations throughout the world.”
Alex Gale, Senior Partner at SHW, says: “We are delighted to be part of The Gatwick Diamond delegation attending UKREiiF this year. As a big contributor in this area, we are well placed to work along with the private and public sector to drive awareness and investment into this important region showcasing what it has to offer. Representatives from across our business will be attending and we look forward to being a big part of the event that connects people, places and businesses to accelerate and unlock sustainable, inclusive and transformational investment.”
Keith Griffiths, CEO and Founder of UKREiiF said: “We’re pleased to announce that the Gatwick Diamond region will be represented at UKREiiF 2024. The coalition’s commitment to economic growth and regional development perfectly aligns with the spirit of collaboration and innovation that defines our event.”
Organised by Built Environment Networking and backed by leading UK property and infrastructure firms, the third annual UKREiiF will not only foster inward investment but also stimulate economic growth and champion a sustainable, inclusive approach within the property and construction sectors.
