McConnell Group leases unit at Dagenham Logistics Hub

  • The retrofit and remediation contractor has taken 7,650 sq ft at Padrock's £95m Grade A scheme in east London.

Padrock, advised by SHW and joint agents M1 and Glenny, has let a 7,650 sq ft warehouse unit at its Dagenham Logistics Hub to McConnell Group.

The retrofit and refurbishment contractor will use the unit to support a major project it is delivering nearby, providing storage for its refurbishment, maintenance, retrofit, energy efficiency, cladding and fire remediation services.

Dagenham Logistics Hub sits between the A12 and A13, with Dagenham East Underground station 0.6 miles away. The scheme comprises 173,380 sq ft across 14 new leasehold industrial and warehouse units ranging from 6,550 sq ft to 34,825 sq ft.

All units have BREEAM "Excellent" and EPC "A+" ratings, with photovoltaic panels, air source heat pumps, EV charging points and low air permeability design.

Kevin Jones at McConnell said: "Dagenham Logistics Hub gives us a high-specification facility in a well-connected location adjacent to where we are delivering a significant amount of work.

"Energy efficiency in the built environment and improving the performance and safety of existing buildings are central to our business. It is therefore important that we operate from a space that reflects those values.

"The unit allows us the flexibility to fully support our client and team efficiently, whilst playing an important role in how we deliver projects across the area."

McConnell's arrival follows ITS opening London's largest tool superstore at the scheme earlier this year, reinforcing Dagenham Logistics Hub as a destination for occupiers who need high-specification, sustainable space close to the work they deliver.
