Avison Young secures mandate from Police Scotland to deliver estate masterplan business cases for West of Scotland and Tayside

Strategic real estate advisor Avison Young today announces that, following a competitive tender process, it has successfully secured the mandate from Police Scotland to develop an estate masterplan around the Glasgow and Dundee regions, as they modernise to meet the evolving needs of the service.

This will include the development and delivery of Outline Business Cases (OBCs) for two priority clusters: West/Glasgow and Tayside. These OBCs will build on the high-level recommendations in the 2024 masterplan to identify the preferred estate solutions in both clusters to support Police Scotland's 2030 vision.

Saurabh Das, Principal, Place Advisory at Avison Young, said:
“Following our successful support in delivering the whole of Scotland Estate Strategy in 2019, we’re delighted to be working with Police Scotland again.

“Our team of seasoned experts across our national offices, including Glasgow and Edinburgh, will provide the array of services required and support governance and stakeholder management, with our nuanced understanding of the sensitivities surrounding the Scottish Police Authority’s operations.”

Stewart Taylor, Principal and Managing Director, Head of Land and Development Scotland at Avison Young, added:
“Blending our national and local expertise underpins what we do. We are looking forward to working with Police Scotland in the development of a deliverable masterplan.”

Avison Young, as a leading property and estates advisor to the Scottish public sector, will bring its expertise in multi-disciplinary property professional services and proven track record of securing approvals in Scotland, to this key mandate.
