Property consultancy Gerald Eve has taken 26,000 sq ft at One Fitzroy as it upgrades its office space and accelerates its sustainability commitments.
Following a record-breaking financial year achieving turnover of £92.5 million in 2021/22, Gerald Eve will move into newly fitted out offices across the first and part of the second floor at the building. One Fitzroy is shared with The Estée Lauder Companies and Gerson Lerhman Group.
The consultancy’s office move comes at the same time as an updated commitment to sustainability. Gerald Eve has pledged to be carbon neutral from this financial year, and carbon negative from the 2027/28 financial year – three years ahead of its original plan.
One Fitzroy is a high-quality office building that is rated BREEAM Excellent and achieves a FitWel rating of 2 stars. It includes extensive facilities to encourage sustainable commuting, including cycling facilities and luxury changing rooms. One Fitzroy has a mix of spaces to facilitate flexible and collaborative working, including a client suite and entertaining spaces well suited to the reintroduction of in-person events following the pandemic. Prominently located on the corner of Mortimer Street and Cleveland Street, the building is close to both Goodge Street and Tottenham Court Road stations, with direct access to the newly opened Elizabeth Line.
Gerald Eve is undertaking a sustainable fit out, saving 100 tonnes of CO2 and reducing embodied carbon by 26% by retaining elements of the existing office space, with all waste being diverted from landfill.
Simon Prichard, Senior Partner said “With our focus on placing sustainability at the centre of everything we do with our clients, it is appropriate that we are moving to a more environmentally friendly office space, fitting it out sustainably, and accelerating our commitments to become carbon neutral and, in time, carbon negative.”
“In addition to reflecting our ESG ambitions, our new office space is linked to our continued growth and our desire to provide a contemporary, healthy, flexible and market-leading working environment for our expanding team. We look forward to welcoming our staff and our clients to our new office in the coming weeks.”
Fitzroy Place is owned by AshbyCapital and Aviva Investors. Gerald Eve represented itself, with legal advice from Irwin Mitchell; Colliers represented The Estée Lauder Companies UK & Ireland.
