SHW Acquires Vauxhall Office Building

SHW, has acquired 66 South Lambeth Road, Vauxhall. on behalf of Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

 

The self-contained building had recently been refurbished by the Landlord to provide just over 20,000 sq ft of Grade A space, complete with ample secure parking in a zone 1 location. The building will be used to provide offices and state of the art clinical facilities.

A short walk from Vauxhall station, the building benefits from excellent natural light and views over Vauxhall Park. The area around the building has seen significant development over recent years, providing new and exciting amenities for local occupiers.

SHW’s Richad Williams says: “The completion of this transaction followed a long and detailed search process across central London. For the most part the search was building led, it had to be self-contained, there had to be close secure car parking and we needed a space that would provide a flexible layout.

“Car parking, it turned out, would be the biggest challenge, with the central London office market repurposing car parking to bike racks and changing facilities over the past 15- 20 years. This led us to consider various options, including an underground car park, but we managed to narrow down the search to 3 options, which soon became 2. Having assessed both options in terms of financial and operational values 66 South Lambeth Road was found to be most suitable.”
