Adderstone Living delivers first social housing scheme

Adderstone Living, the dedicated social housing division of Adderstone Group, has delivered its first social housing scheme since the company was launched in March this year.

The 10 high-quality, two bed properties were delivered on Barrack Terrace in Thornaby on behalf of client, North Star Housing Group, to high demand from potential tenants.

Adderstone Living’s two directors, Stephen McCoy and Peter Galbraith had rescued the project when the original builders went out of business, before completing the £1.4m development which was named after the nearby Thornaby Aerodrome and its Royal Airforce connections.

Stephen McCoy, Director of Adderstone Living said: “The delivery of social housing has never been more important than it is at present.  We already have a pipeline in place of over 100 homes across the North East so we hope this is the first of many schemes for Adderstone Living.

Fellow Director, Peter Galbraith said: “Quality of design is always at the forefront of our schemes. These homes include modern and stylish kitchens and bathrooms, spacious layouts and good external space making them incredibly desirable family homes.”

Sarah Fawcett, Head of Development at North Star Housing said: “My compliments to Adderstone Living for completing this stunning development for us.

“The prominent location of the site has attracted a lot of local interest throughout and a large number of applications from people wanting to rent an attractive, modern, energy-efficient home from North Star.

“We look forward to taking our next project forward together.”
