THREE TRANSACTIONS CONFIRM HIGH DEMAND FOR FARNHAM RETAIL PROPERTY

A trio of prime retail properties have been leased in Farnham, underlining the high demand for well-located shops within the town centre, according to local commercial property expert Curchod & Co.

The three transactions involve the letting of 112 West Street to Ruby Jones Home, a new lease on 6-8 South Street, which has been taken by Tates & Family Limited and the letting of 3 Town Hall Buildings to Blue Bear Bookshop.

Matthew Seary of Curchod & Co in Farnham says, "These three deals confirm the town's position as one of the most vibrant retail destinations in Surrey and underline that Farnham remains a highly popular destination for both retailers and shoppers alike."

The letting in South Street has seen the opening, by Tates & Family, of a tailor’s shop and a separate key cutter service. The retail unit at 112 West Street has been taken by Ruby Jones Home, the home décor and designer lampshade business, on a ten-year lease. The letting of 3 Town Hill Buildings to Blue Bear Bookshop also involves a ten-year lease.

“Blue Bear Books’ fresh perspective on what a bookshop can offer is a reflection of a wider change in the retail market, and we are likely to see more shop owners looking to create an experience that shoppers enjoy in this manner,” added Matthew.
