Steeper Prosthetics takes new South East base in Maidstone

SHW has secured a new lease on a new unit in Maidstone for Steeper Group off the back a major new Prosthetic Service contract for the NHS.

Located on Lower Boxley Road in Maidstone, Kent, the 14,432 sq ft building will be used for the provision of service to amputees including the manufacture, storage and fitting of prosthetic limbs. The property sits on a large site within Maidstone Town Centre, offering plenty of parking.

Alex Gale, Partner at SHW, said: “As a Leeds-based client of our strategic partner LSH, we were delighted to have advised Steeper Group on the acquisition of this well-located unit to serve their patients from the Kent and Medway region.”

Steeper Group’s founder, Hugh Steeper was a pioneer in the field of prosthetics, paving the way for innovations that would change the lives of veterans of the Great War. Today the Steeper name continues to create positive turning points for patients and clinicians in need of ever more inventive prosthetic solutions.

Sibley Pares advised the landlord.
