SHW Advises SHL on New UK Headquarters at The Cygnet, Kingston Campus
SHW has advised SHL UK on the acquisition of more than 16,000 sq ft of office space at The Cygnet, the landmark office building within Unilever's Kingston Campus.
SHL will occupy the ninth and tenth floors of the newly launched development, relocating its UK headquarters from Thames Ditton to Kingston town centre.
The move sees SHL become the first occupier to commit to space at The Cygnet, setting the tone for the wider leasing campaign at the building. Following the relocation of Unilever's UK headquarters and selected global teams to nearby Sunlight House earlier this year, approximately 75,000 sq ft of office accommodation remains available within The Cygnet.
SHL's new headquarters will provide modern, high-quality workspace, including access to a dedicated roof terrace and extensive landscaped outdoor areas designed to support employee wellbeing and collaboration.
Tim Hodges, Director at SHW, commented: "SHL's decision to choose The Cygnet for its new UK headquarters reflects the continued flight to quality we are seeing across the office market. Occupiers are increasingly focused on securing workplaces that support employee wellbeing, strengthen recruitment and retention, and help meet their ESG objectives. The Cygnet offers an exceptional working environment in a highly accessible town centre location, making it an ideal fit for SHL
Peter York, Head of London Met & South East Office Leasing at CBRE, added: "This letting demonstrates that high-quality office space continues to attract strong occupier interest as businesses remain focused on securing workplaces that support collaboration, talent attraction and long-term growth. Completing the first subletting at the Campus is an encouraging signal for the South West London office market and provides a strong platform as we continue discussions with prospective occupiers."
SHW acted on behalf of SHL UK. Unilever UK Limited was advised by CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield.
