A new “Real Estate Futureproof Pavilion” was launched at MIPIM 2022 in Cannes and, with the aim of driving innovation in real estate, it expects to be a feature of future shows.
The new pavilion, located among pavilions from the UK, across Europe and those occupied by global property firms, was used to showcase solutions for ESG, sustainability, Net Zero buildings, data, innovation and digitalization.
The new pavilion is an initiative from Holland ConTech & PropTech to help international scalups to become more visible during big trade fairs like MIPIM and EXPO REAL and looks to create a prominent place for international scaleups to be seen and to come in contact with their clients.
During the global conference the “Real Estate Futureproof Pavilion” hosted a range of events including presentations and technology demonstrations, organised by 18 partners and scale-up businesses including PropTech Sweden, spaceOS, Symbiosy by HB Reavis, EDGE and EDGE Next, the City of Stockholm and real estate law firm, Osborne Clarke.
Wouter Truffino, the founder of Holland ConTech & PropTech, Global PropTech and co-founder of Smart Building Certification, who conceived the pavilion, said: “Nearly seven years ago my team and I started to promote innovation within real estate.
“A lot has changed and for sure, if you want to stay relevant in real estate, you must know where the new opportunities are. With this Real Estate Futureproof Pavilion we bring together the best there is to offer.”
Martin Nestepny of HB Reavis, commented: “The most significant evolution in the Commercial Real Estate industry over the last few years is undoubtedly made by the adoption of new technologies,” adding “Adoption of technology in combination with well-thought buildings brings value to all building users.“
The new pavilion was opened at a well-supported ceremony by Wouter Truffino together with Nicolas Kozubek of MIPIM.
