Westminster City Council has appointed Connect Property in a new partnership to deliver its Temporary Accommodation Property Management, Repairs & Maintenance and Compliance Services Contract, on a contract of 2 + 1 + 1 years.
The appointment follows a competitive procurement process under the Procurement Act 2023 and forms part of the council’s ongoing work to ensure residents in temporary accommodation receive safe, reliable and well-managed services.
The council will work closely with Connect Property to provide an integrated service covering property management, responsive repairs, planned maintenance, statutory compliance and resident support. Connect Property will bring to the partnership operational expertise in property management, repairs, maintenance and compliance, supported by experienced teams, innovative technology and real-time performance reporting.
Mobilisation is already underway and the council will ensure a seamless transition ahead of service commencement.
Cllr David Harvey, Westminster City Council Cabinet Member for Housing and Regeneration, said: “Our priority is to make sure residents in temporary accommodation receive safe, reliable and high-quality services. Following a competitive procurement process, we have appointed Connect Property because we believe they are best placed to deliver this important contract and provide value for money. We look forward to working closely with them to maintain and improve the services.”
Christopher Philippou, Managing Director of Connect Property, said: "We are delighted to have been appointed by Westminster City Council and look forward to building a strong and collaborative long term strategic partnership to deliver this important service.
At Connect Property, we believe everyone deserves a safe, compliant and well-maintained place to live. By combining our experienced workforce, innovative technology and customer-first approach, we will deliver a responsive and reliable service that places residents at the heart of what we do. In doing so, we will support Westminster’s ambitions and create lasting value for the Council and the communities it serves.”
At the heart of the partnership is a shared commitment to providing safe, compliant and well-maintained homes where residents feel supported, respected and valued. Both organisations will work collaboratively, listen to residents and use performance insight to strengthen the service over the life of the contract.
